Our Trip to Meadow Ledge Farm

Bump, bump, bump went the schoolbus.  We rode the bus to Meadow Ledge Farm.  We got off the bus and saw a lot of apples and some pear trees.   We met Farmer Lou.  He told us not to whack the bees.  He said if a bee landed on your apple, put the apple gently on the ground and step slowly away.

We got to ride a tractor.  We had to sit criss cross applesauce.  The tractor went on a dirt road with lots of puddles and mud.  We saw a pond.   The tractor had no sides and no seat belts.  The tractor trailer had big wheels.  We saw a lot of other tractors.  We saw a silo.

We met Lenny.  He showed us how to pick apples.  Lenny was cool.  He had a bucket with a strap and a bottom that opened so he could put the apples in a bucket.  The bottom opened up.

When we got back to the picnic tables we got eat snack and drink apple cider.
The apple cider and the apples were delicious.

It was a fun, exciting and yummy day!
