Contact Me
The best way to contact me for non-urgent matters is via email. bmcnamee@goffstown.k12.nh.usI check and respond to my mail daily.
You can also send in notes with your child's folder.
Out of respect for all children's learning, I don't take phone calls during teaching hours except for emergencies. You may call and leave me a voice mail and I will return your call. 497-2210.
I am always willing to schedule a conference at any time.
Changes in Dismissal
If you need to change how your child is going home, please please send a written note in the morning in your child's folder. The office is VERY busy during the day and it saves much confusion and anxiety for your child if you send a written note in the morning.
Homework
Homework won't start right away, but when it does it will be reading and a math homelink. Reading to your child and with your child is the most important thing you can do to help/him or her develop a love of reading as well as become proficient as a reader. I recommend at least 15 minutes/day. There will be a family letter that goes home with the beginning of each reading and math unit. In these letters there are many ideas for at home activities you can do with your child.
Classroom Blog
Keep up with the latest news from our classroom on our classroom blog. You can access this through the school website/faculty and staff pages or directly: http://mrsmcnameesclassroomnews.blogspot.com/
It is my goal to post weekly if not more often. I will only post work/videos/pictures for the students for whom I have permission to post. You may subscribe to the blog to receive emails when it is updated as well as follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
Snacks
We are very excited at Bartlett to have the Fresh Fruits and Vegetable program. This means that fresh fruits and vegetables will be available for all children at school for snack at no cost. If you wish to send a snack with your child you may, but we ask for a healthy snack. Due to the many food sensitivities in our school we do not allow children to bring in snacks for birthdays or parties. We also have a no sharing food policy as well.
Toys
Please no toys at school.
